Last week was a busy one for the team at Global Radio. As well as Smooth Radio moving into their London HQ, Choice FM was renamed Capital XTRA to become Capital and Global’s only brand extension.
Last Tuesday was an important landmark in commercial radio. It was 40 years ago on that day that David Jessel took to the airwaves to become the first voice of LBC, with the station being the first legal station not under BBC ownership.

As we come towards the end of the year, we approach the date of digital destiny! On December 16th, the government will make a decision on whether radio stations will turn off analogue signals and go completely digital. And if so, a decision will also be made on the year the transition would take place.
