It’s starting to look a lot like…

Halloween and Bonfire Night have been and gone, the new John Lewis advert has made its debut on TV and we’re starting to hear Christmas songs on the radio.

This year, the UK has at least two national Christmas music stations available via Digital One across the UK. Magic Christmas (More of the Songs Yule Love) started last Monday and Heart extra Xmas appeared over the weekend replacing Heart extra.

As well as the national stations, a number of local and online Christmas stations are planned including Wave Christmas, Pulse Christmas and Signal Christmas which started last Friday 10th November. The Scottish Sun Christmas Radio will start broadcasting to Central Scotland on DAB this Friday 17th November.

In Ireland, we have Christmas FM broadcasting and also raising money for Irish charities, with Christmas FM UK promising to raise awareness and funds for UK charities, whilst broadcasting on DAB in Liverpool and Surrey. There are also a number of online stations such as Santa Radio and NP100 – North Pole.
