Radio X makes a beer and calls it Amplified
Radio X has teamed up with Greene King to brew a new beer available in
limited edition at selected Greene King Pubs. The pumps feature a picture of a
mini amplifier, with a working LED but fake jack input, along with a Radio X mic
muff and 20p out of each pint will go to Global’s Make Some Noise charity.
Networked mid-morning show for Bauer stations
Bauer is introducing networked mid-morning shows on its Bauer City Network of stations in England and Scotland.
The new show will replace around 10 local radio presenters who currently host programmes in their own markets. Bauer says it is working with the presenters to identify other opportunities across the network.
Liverpool radio scene celebrated at Radio City
Liverpool’s radio broadcasters gathered on Tuesday evening at the top of the Radio City Tower to celebrate the rise of digital radio in the area.
Attendees heard that overall radio listening in Liverpool has grown by 7% in the last 5 years, supported by 80% growth of digital listening. This has been driven by an increase in the number of DAB stations to 66 and the advancement of DAB household penetration to over 64% in the Liverpool area.
