Christian O’Connell bids emotional farewell to listeners

His final programme was full of emotion, content and memories of his 12 years hosting breakfast, firstly on Virgin Radio then Absolute Radio as it rebranded and changed ownership. Bauer wants mental health aiders in workplaces

Bauer has called on the government to ensure there is a mental health work aider in every workplace and college. This comes after they launched a mental health survey which revealed that 90% of the public say they still feel there is a taboo around discussing mental health.

The survey is part of their campaign: ‘Where’s Your Head At?’ which surveyed readers and listeners from their brands including, heat, Grazia, KISS, Empire, Magic and Absolute Radio in collaboration with mental health campaigner Natasha Devon MBE and the Mental Health First Aid (MFHA) England.
