Ex-Emmerdale star joins Minster FM Breakfast
Actress Roxanne Pallett joined UKRD station Minster FM today (Monday 26th
Feb) to do the breakfast show alongside Ben Fry.
She’s best known for TV roles in Emmerdale, Waterloo Road and Casualty, as well as being a musical theatre star in The Wedding Singer and The Rocky Horror Picture Show. She’s also previously appeared as a contestant on ITV’s Dancing On Ice.
Radioplayer launches new brand and new apps
Radioplayer has launched a re-designed app and a new brand, with a consumer advertising campaign across radio and outdoor.
The app design, based on months of user-testing and prototyping, features a cleaner interface with the new Radioplayer branding, faster start-up and streaming, plus a new ‘high quality’ mode.
York to get two community radio stations
The city of York will get two new community radio stations, as Ofcom awards licences to Jorvik FM and YO1 Radio.
There are also two licences given to Northern Ireland today – one for Coast FM in Coleraine and one for Coast Radio in Larne.
