Daisy McAndrew, former Special Correspondent and Economics Editor at ITV News, will host a new ad-funded radio show on LBC 97.3 with 02 Business. Innocent Drinks co-founder Richard Reed is to be a guest on the first hour long show.

For two weekends whilst Emma Bunton is away, actress and singer Martine McCutcheon will host The Saturday Show on Heart. The appointment becomes the first radio presenting role for the Love Actually actress.

Former Capital FM and BBC Radio 5 live presenter Johnny Vaughan will host a new weekend football build-up show as part of a number of schedule changes on sports radio station talkSPORT. Max Rushden will host a similar show on Sundays while Georgie Bingham joins Micky Quinn as the new host of Weekend Sports Breakfast.

After a 32 year spell, Sony has decided to cancel its sponsorship deal with the Radio Academy, effectively ending use of the term ‘winning a Sony’. From next year, the awards will be known as ‘The Radio Academy Awards’ with a new sponsor for the event yet to be agreed.
