Crooner and international singing sensation Michael Buble will perform live this Friday (28th) for Hallam FM and Bauer’s charity, Cash for Kids. Half of the proceeds from the surprise gig will go to the charity. Radio Today
Welsh DAB extension requested by Now Digital
Multiplex owner Now Digital has requested that Ofcom give them permission to extend DAB coverage in Wales to reach 100,000 more homes. If approved, the DAB network will transmit to listeners in the South Wales Valleys. Radio Today
UKRD Group cite local focus as revenue driver
William Rodgers, CEO of the UKRD Group, has claimed that a rise in audience figures and revenue is due to its local based strategy. The group, which owns 16 local UK radio stations, announced its half year dividend for the third year running. Music Week
Love Tour makes Eagle Radio mobile
Eagle Radio will be out and about across its tranmission region with a Love Tour. The station has promised to complete 149 hours of Outside Broadcasting with listeners able to meet presenters and see the station being recorded across Surrey and Hampshire. Radio Today
