Heart’s Make Me A Millionaire returns to radio

Heart’s Make Me A Millionaire is back for 2021. The station will crown one lucky listener a millionaire, live on air.

Heart has brought back the hugely popular competition for a second year for 2021, following its enormous success in 2020, which saw hundreds of winners take home prize sums of up to £30,000 before one lucky winner scooped the life-changing grand prize of £1,000,000.

Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden launched the 2021 promotion on Heart Breakfast this week (March 1st), with both of them dressing up for the occasion.

Last year, the nation was gripped as Jamie and Amanda crowned the winner of the 2020 competition live on Heart Breakfast during a dramatic Million Pound Final. Over the 11-week period, 29 listeners had opted to sacrifice their winnings for the chance to win a place in the live final. Nine finalists were then randomly selected by a giant lottery ball machine – with the tenth place won live on Heart Breakfast that morning as listeners played one final round of the competition. In an extraordinary morning, 23-year-old key worker Tommy Norton – who was randomly selected to win the tenth place that morning – beat all the odds to go on to win the £1,000,000 prize.

This year, listeners are able to win a daily cash prize by listening out for when a specific artist plays on air. Selected at random, the daily winner can decide to walk away with that day’s prize fund or forgo their winnings for the chance to go into the Million Pound Final to win £1 million pounds.

The Million Pound Final will take place on the morning of Friday 28th May live on Heart Breakfast with Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden.
