37% of Brits are monthly podcast listeners

Research from DMA found that most listeners feel the marketing they hear on podcasts and on the radio is relevant to them.

Moreover, the research goes onto suggest that 37% of Britons now listen to podcasts on a monthly basis, a proportion which rises to 67% among men aged 16-29 and 54% for households with incomes in excess of £75k.

Union Jack radio announces coverage of Leicester Comedy Festival

Ahead of Leicester Comedy Festival, which kicks off Wednesday 5 February and runs throughout much of February, main partner Union JACK Radio can today announce its full line-up of coverage, which will provide an opportunity for listeners nationwide to be a part of this critically acclaimed event, even if they’re not able to visit in person. The station’s month-long, festival-focused coverage will include the following:

  • The live broadcast of the world-renowned Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year competition, Saturday 22 February, 7.30 pm – 10 pm
  • The UK Pun Championships, Monday 10 February, 7 pm – 10 pm
  • Union JACK Radio’s Circuit Breakers, Saturday 15 February, 8.30 pm – 10 pm
  • Lucy Leeds Loose in Leicester, Wednesday 5 to Friday 7 February, 6 pm – 7 pm
  • The Full English, Wednesday 5 to Friday 7 February, 7 am – 9 am

News UK confirms the launch of Times Radio

The Times, The Sunday Times and Wireless have confirmed the launch of Times Radio will take place later this year.

The station will broadcast nationally on DAB and online and will be in addition to talkRADIO rather than in place of it.
