Labour leader in live phone-in on LBC
Ed Miliband took part in a live-phone-in on Global’s national talk station LBC. He was on-air with drivetime host Iain Dale during his show on Friday which was broadcast live across the UK on DAB and in London on FM.
Entrepreneur Ray Anderson has opened an “Anarchy on the Airwaves” exhibition to celebrate the pop pirates who ruled the airwaves and changed broadcasting forever fifty years ago. The museum is within sight of where the Radio Caroline pirate ship Mi Amigo which was moored off the Essex coast to begin broadcasting in March 1964.

Bauer Media’s group managing director of advertising, Richard Dunmall believes its time to celebrate after the latest radio listening figures were released. “All of these developments prove that while the radio industry may be changing, it certainly isn’t going anywhere – and that is a reason to celebrate.”
