The impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak on established consumer behaviour is marked, according to data from Nielsen.
Globally, nearly one-half (45%) of consumers said they had shopped at a new store in September, at a time when the coronavirus had been having an impact for over six months. This is an increase from 39% in May, when the outbreak was still in a relatively early stage.
Bauer Media’s former chief revenue officer for radio, Simon Kilby has been promoted to MD of Advertising with immediate effect.
Kilby takes over the role from Abby Carvosso, who has been given the newly created position of director of commercial transformation, Bauer Media Audio UK.
In their changed roles, Carvosso will shape and drive Bauer Media Audio’s strategic commercial offering, whilst Kilby will be responsible for leading the team and driving the vision, sales strategy and growth at Bauer Media Advertising.
A new old skool radio station is gearing up for a launch across the Black Country and Shropshire on DAB in March.
NRG Radio is targetting 30 to 50-year-olds and promises to play the old skool anthems and forgotten classics that no other radio station is playing, flavoured with presenters who will add character to the service with a unique style and sound.
The station launched online in August 2020 and says their listening figures have encouraged them to join a DAB multiplex.
Recently launched service Radio Travel News is expanding its audio bulletins service just a week after launching.
The company has started providing more regional content for radio stations, with the addition of audio bulletins for services in the East of England.
Radio Travel News is now heard on over 20 radio stations across the UK, including recently launched Cambridge and Norwich DAB station Rubix Radio along with established FM station Diverse FM. Both are now taking the new East bulletin, along with a new local version of News Radio UK on DAB in the region.
