Mike Tindall joins talkSPORT
talkSPORT have announced a number of new presenters across its schedule from this weekend ahead of the start of 14/15 Premier League season. Former England captain and 2003 Rugby World Cup winner Mike Tindall, is to join the station as a co-host on Colin Murray’s show (weekdays 10am-1pm) on Mondays.
Ex-Radio Academy chief John Myers says stations have ‘moral obligation’ to pay staff as it emerges Bauer has some unpaid presenters. Bauer responded to the remarks stating, “We have a very small handful of people who work under voluntary arrangements for which they are not paid. They are seeking experience or exposure and in some instances they come to us direct from student radio for a kick-start to their radio careers.”
A radio format by Sparknet Communications, the company behind JACK fm, says its new Quickhitz format is heading to the UK this year. The format promises twice as many songs per hour by cutting songs in half so listeners don’t get bored.
