News article content will be voiced by Clyde 1 presenter Robin Galloway who also writes a column in The Scottish Sun.
The on air campaign runs throughout the morning (5am-noon) and involves the creation of content changed overnight to reflect the next day’s news stories in The Scottish Sun.
Bauer Media are allocating a dedicated 24 hour production hub to produce content. They will liaise directly out of hours with News International to ensure content is delivered from 5am the following morning even if a major story breaks overnight.
This will enable listeners to hear the day’s headlines, driving them in store to purchase The Scottish Sun newspaper. This level of engagement blends together the immediacy of radio with the depth of content in print.
The Bauer Place Portfolio reaches 8.7 million adults each week across the UK, including 1.6million across the seven Scottish Place stations.
Steve Taylor, Creative Commercial Director said: “This campaign plays to the strengths of radio and its ability to react quickly to items in the news, and also demonstrates how Bauer’s Place Portfolio identifies with its listeners throughout Scotland using our flagship stations.”
