Mar 2013  Radio News

The intimate gig will take place on 18 April in front of a small audience in Studio 3 and will be broadcast live on Absolute Radio as part of Geoff Lloyd’s Hometime Show.

Released on the 18th of March, Suede describe ‘Bloodsports’ as an album ‘about lust, love, obsession, dislocation, cruelty, carefree abandonment, aniseed kisses and the gore-strewn battlefield of romance’.

Absolute Radio’s Head of Music James Curran said “This year is already a stellar year for new material from iconic British artists with Bowie and Suede bursting back on the scene in spectacular form – as this is the first time Suede have performed in Abbey Road Studios, this will be a unique performance”.

Studio 3 is synonymous with legendary performances from the likes of The Beatles, Pink Floyd and Coldplay.

The performance follows a triumphant series of shows since their reformation, including major festivals and venues including The O2, the Royal Albert Hall and most recently, Alexandra Palace.
