The Switchdigital Central Scotland multiplex spans the length and breadth of the Central Belt, from Glasgow to Edinburgh and from Stirling to Strathaven. In all, services broadcast on the multiplex will reach 1.2 million households and cover 2,000 miles of main roads.
From July this year, a number of DAB radio channel slots will become available. Switchdigital are offering packages to suit established commercial radio broadcasters, community radio stations and student radio services.
Switchdigital is also interested in hearing from new radio services, which may currently be on the internet only, and are looking to take their station to the next level.
The latest radio industry listening figures show that DAB radio listening has reached a new record high and over 660,000 adults in Central Scotland alone tune in via DAB radio every week, an increase of 13% on the previous quarter.
