Absolute Radio launches new request show

Absolute Radio’s new recruit Claire Sturgess is to host a new all-request
show on the station, starting on Sunday 23rd August from 6-8pm.

Gem 106 Breakfast Show to air on Notts TV

Gem 106’s Sam & Amy at breakfast is to be shown
live on Notts TV weekdays 6 – 9am from Monday 24th August. It will be the
first time a local commercial radio show has been broadcast regularly on
live television.

Bridge FM to join DAB in Cardiff and Newport

Town and Country Broadcasting is putting Bridgend station Bridge FM on DAB, replacing sister station Nation Hits! The swap gives Bridge FM a digital slot on its local multiplex, instead of the previously titled Swansea Bay Radio, which targets doesn’t cover the area on FM.

Jazz FM to resurrect interview with Nina Simone

An interview recorded by Jazz FM with Nina Simone in 1998 will be broadcast again on the station as part of its 25th anniversary celebrations.
