Global Radio won’t appeal tribunal’s GMG takeover decision
Global Radio are to take no further action after the Competition Appeal Tribunal upheld the Competition Commission’s ruling that seven stations must be sold in order to finalise a GMG Radio takeover deal. The Capital, Heart and Classic FM owner is expected to announce more news in February of next year. Radio Today
Catherine Gort becomes Bauer Place Portfolio Marketing Director
Bauer Media has recruited from within to appoint former Head of Radio Marketing, Catherine Gort, as the new Marketing Director for the Place Portfolio selection of stations. She will join the senior management team and will work with brands such as Magic 105.4 and Key 103. Radio Today
New DAB transmitter for Herefordshire and Worcestershire
