LBC to become national station
LBC, London’s biggest talk radio station, will become the UK’s first national commercial talk station from the 11th of February and will be available across the country on DAB on the D1 multiplex. As well as a new logo, the station is also changing the LBC acronym to become ‘Leading Britain’s Conversation’. LBC
RadioCentre announce Siobhan Kenny as new CEO
From Monday March 31st, Siobhan Kenny will take on the role of CEO at the RadioCentre. Siobhan has a background in Government including three years as Board member and Director of Strategy and Communications at the UK Department for Culture, Media and Sport, working alongside Secretary of State, Tessa Jowell. FM radio now available on Blackberry phones
A software update for BB10 devices has meant that the previously dormant FM functionality on Blackberry phones has now been activated. FM hardware is also currently built into the current generation of iPhones but Apple have not made the feature available to developers at present. Radio Today
